What happens after Submission?

Once we have submitted, your documents are reviewed by building control.

  • Local authorities issue a Notice of Passing of Plans, confirming initial approval.
  • Private inspectors lodge an Initial Notice with the local authority, then carry out an ongoing Plan Assessment throughout the build.

In both cases, building inspectors monitor the work on site to ensure compliance with the approved plans.

At the end of the project, and following all required inspections,

  • Local authorities will issue a Completion Certificate.
  • Private inspectors issue a Final Certificate.

This document is essential for when it comes to selling your house confirming that the work complies with building regulations and meets legal requirements for the conveyancing process
